The Rialto Market is one of the oldest markets in Venice. Still active and very popular today, especially in the mornings, it attracts Venetians and restaurateurs looking for fresh fish, seasonal fruits, and vegetables. Next to the market stalls, you’ll find numerous traditional osterias, called bacari, perfect for enjoying cicchetti and a glass of wine, following local tradition.
